Ortivus’ aim with this CoroNet class is to provide the hospital engineers with a good knowledge base, to allow restoration of safe operations of the CoroNet system if any technical problem arises - not only to teach the ability to perform a standard preventive maintenance. The course is based on theoretical, often IT-driven knowledge, exemplified by realistic exercises supported by structured documentation.
We also welcome personnel from the clinical departments to participate in this training, aware that this is a technical course, and that likely only technically oriented nurses are interested in the information provided. We regard it as a major advantage if technological orientation of the CoroNet system also is present among some of the staff members at the clinics, whereas problems sometimes occur at hours when the technical staff is not at service. Not infrequently, these problems may be circumvented by user actions. Thus, when the "super users" of the department understand more of the CoroNet technology, the chances to sort out bothersome situations increases – even outside office hours of the technical staff.
